Philanthropy Ohio released its latest education recommendations to Governor John Kasich, the Ohio General Assembly, the Ohio Department of Higher Education and other education policy leaders today. Building on the recent release of Philanthropy Ohio’s K-12 education briefing papers, today’s report, Investing in Ohio’s Future. Now. A Postsecondary Education Access and Affordability Agenda for Ohio, analyzes Ohio’s progress in making college more affordable for Ohio’s students and families and offers recommendations on how to improve affordability.
As a result of an affordability paper the Higher Education Compact of Greater Cleveland authored last fall, Summit Education Initiative (SEI) joined a statewide group with Philanthropy Ohio to launch an effort to increase college affordability in Ohio. On Feb. 9, Philanthropy Ohio will host a briefing on College Affordability in Ohio and how college costs impact the future of Ohio (and of our community).
