GAR Foundation’s conference brings together K-12 educators in Summit County for a full-day of learning, idea sharing, and networking around education and classroom instruction. This is a FREE conference for K-12 educators in Summit County. This year’s theme is Expanding Boundaries.
This fall, GAR Foundation will host its Annual Educator Conference at the Hilton Garden Inn – Akron. Kindergarten through 12th grade educators from Summit County private, public and parochial schools are encouraged to attend this free conference on Oct. 5, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration will be open this summer.
GAR Foundation has announced Summit Education Initiative’s Dr. Matthew Deevers will be the keynote speaker during the Annual Education Conference on Oct. 6, 2016. In his talk, “Keep the Clay Wet: Promoting Growth for Yourself and Your Students,” Deevers will address the ways a culture of positive, persistent growth can dramatically improve outcomes and reduce achievement gaps and help everyone reshape their practices, like wet clay on a potter’s wheel.
