This City Reads! Brings Students and Veterans on the Field

It’s summer break, but some local kids had a ball Wednesday with reading. Summit Education Initiative, along with The University of Akron Center for Literacy and Akron-Summit County Public Library, held their annual This City Reads! Speaking Up

This month, some students have put their minds to a unique challenge. International Institute of Akron’s (IIA) Inquiring Minds Summer Debate Camp has welcomed 24 students to participate in debate exercises and lectures at the National Inventors Hall of Fame® STEM Middle School. This City Reads! Night Brings World Record Attempt to Canal Park

For the love of books and baseball, local nonprofit organizations invite Greater Akron community members to the annual This City Reads! Night at Canal Park on Wednesday, June 15.
