Going Kinetic for Our Kids

Annual event generates $13,000 and volunteerism
annual event attendees

Annual event attendees filled the ballroom at Greystone Hall in Akron.

Nearly 150 individuals from community partner organizations, Summit County school districts and local businesses joined us for our sixth annual Community Report on Educational Attainment on Thursday, Oct. 12 at Greystone Hall. We appreciate those who attended to hear our message, as well as to learn more about ways to support children in Summit County.

Thanks to attendees’ commitments on our “48,000 Degrees by 2025” form, we received more than $13,000 in pledges that will be designated toward several different organizations and programs that work with Summit County kids. THANK YOU! Most attendees endorsed our “48,000 Degrees by 2025” goal, while some also indicated they would be interested in volunteering for programs such as Akron Reads, iC.A.R.E. Mentoring and more. We’re looking forward to following up with these generous individuals about their commitments this month.
