Summit Education Initiative (SEI), along with other organizations associated with the Early Care and Education Team of the Summit County First Things First initiative, has released a “save the date” for the county’s 2016 School Readiness Summit, titled “The Early Childhood Effect.”
The importance of school readiness explained
The summit will follow a half-day conference format, with a keynote speaker and breakout sessions to inform attendees about the importance of the early childhood experience, from health and social interactions to motor skills development and education. The summit will explain how these factors affect a student’s education through adulthood.
The planning committee encourages educators, school administrators, public officials and anyone interested in supporting the improvement and expansion of high-quality early childhood experiences in Summit County to attend. SEI will publish more details here prior to the event.
